One page personal item from the Marblehead Magicians Gridiron Club on Richard David Wells, 1918-2009, who will always be remembered as one of the finest athletes that Marblehead has ever seen. A great tribute to "An Original Magician". The 1934 game played in Miami, Florida (final score was 52-12 in Marblehead's favor) gained them the name "Magicians" and to this day, our football team is called The Marblehead Magicians. He graduated with high honors from Marblehead High School in 1936. |
