Book titled "The Founding of Marblehead" by Thomas E. Gray with forward by Hammond Bouden has two sections, one covers the founding of Marblehead including first inhabitants, early establishment and economic and social development. The second section is a genealogical dictionary of the early settlers. Also an Appendix A lists Settlers of Marblehead 1628 - 1649, Appendix B lists the Plains Farm Purchase, Appendix C covers the demographics of the early settlers, Appendix D shows the Estimated Population of Marblehead and Appendix E is a Glossary of Terms and Places.
