King, for the Overseers, dated Aug. 28, 1820, requesting "admit to the Alms House Hannah Shepard the bearer & her son. Note on bottom states maiden name Hannah Stacey, born in Marblehead, fathers name Nath'l Stacey. 3. Letter from Gardner Hathaway to Capt. Elliot Lin dated Aug 29, 1820 stating "this man has brought Mrs. Shepard & boy to the house & her things all that she carried away & delivered them at the house. 4.
