This file contains: 2 letters/petitions to the Selectmen both dated June 1811 which mention fires being set in neighboring communities. One is a petition to hold a Town Meeting to consider the digging of more wells for water supply in the event of similar fires. The other is a suggestion that the Selectmen set a " voluntary watch during the remander of the season." Another letter request the Town supply a house for the Turrant Engine, and another requesting the Town pay for repairs on the Union Engine and a building for it.
