This file contains papers pertaining to Town By Laws with dates from1838 to 1859 as follows:
1. Handwritten resolution passed by vote to correct and revise town by-laws.
2. Petition of J. Chamberlain, Thomas Foss, John Reynolds, William Martin, Joshua Orne, J.H. Coggeshall, Joshua Bowden and J. Sparhawk, 1844, requesting that the town by-laws be enforced.
3. Handwritten town by-laws, 1839, as approved by J.M. attested to by Richard Homan, Town Clerk.
4. Blank form from the Massachusetts Secretary of State's Office, Boston, April 12, 1845, advising of the duty of town clerks to register births, marriages and deaths.
5. Revised code of by-laws for the Town of Marblehead, March 1839.
6. Handwritten note on Article 4 of Marblehead by-laws.
