This file contains approximately 76 pieces of paper concerning elections for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with dates starting at 4 May 1762 a warrant for elections to represent the Town in the great and General Court or assembly for his Majesty's service at the Court House in Boston, to a copy of the State Election Tuesday, November 4, 1913. A)A sample warrant without dates or names B)The above 1762 warrant C)32 warrants signed by the Selectmen and addressed to a Constable in the years 1780,1813, 1816, 1818(2), 1819, 1820, 1821,1822,1823, 1824, 1825, 1839, 1840, 1842, 1843, 1844, 1845(2), 1846(2), 1847(2), 1848, 1849, 1850(2), 1855, 1856, and 1875 D) Six petitions to the Selectmen concerning various disagreements about the proposed elections in the years 1845, 1846, 1851, 1852, &1853 E) Two "Return of Votes cast for Representation" in Marblehead in 1872 and 1869 F) A letter (in purple ink) dated May 11th, 1870, in which William F. Cloon, the trustee of the estate of Mary R. Parton has an objection the assessment put on the estate.
