This folder, labeled "Bill to Town - Undated," contains the following items: 1. Receipt for payment of nine pounds to Ambrose Low, partial payment for shingles, October 6, 1727. Signed by William Goodwin and John Homan. 2. "Public Bldgs Water & Light" bill, undated. 3. Receipt for payment of $184.33 to Benjamin Wheeler for beef and lamb. 4. Receipt for payment of $9.35 to Samuel Martin for hemlock boards and nails and a team for two days, undated. 5. Note signed by L. Goodwin stating that a bill for the Town of Cambridge was mailed with a check for $8.50 drawn on the National Grand Bank, no receipt received. 6. Receipt for payment of $33.18 to Richard Phillips for five gallons of rum. 7. Receipt for payment of $1.50 to Joseph Cloutman. 8. Receipt for payment of $16.03 to Samuel Homan. 9. Receipt for payment of $7.50 to T.T. Paine for cement and sand for repairs. 10. Receipt for payment of $55.79. 11. As these papers were collected over a period of 10 years and were stored in various unknown buildings and places were retrieved and sorted by volunteers in 1965 (about 100 years or more after they were made) and remained apparently undisturbed since then the papers we have are in good condition. However some have been water damaged. |
