A set of letters between American Surety Company and United Spanish War Veterans regarding the Quartermaster's bond for Camp No. 16. There was a mix up and two bonds had been issued. December 11, 1915 to Comrades stating that he was sending copies of Bill, H.R. 54, introduced the first day of this session of Congress by Hon. John A. Key, Committee on Pensions. The Bill states: to pension widows and monor children of officers and enlisted men who served in the War with Spain, Phillipine insurection, or in China. 42. Letter from Departmen of Mass. United Spanish War Veterans, John J. Linchan to Alfred Graves. Adjutant Camp 16, U.S.W.V. stating that he was maining an official visit on Monday Oct. 17, 1915. 43. Letter to Board of Selectmen dated March 22, 1915 from William Gleason and Thomas J. Fraser stating the reason for the light bilis so large at the Bartol camp. The two reasons given are that they are taking in so many new members and that they have been practicing for the Minstral show. 44. Empty envelope from the Treasury Department with writing on it stating the is contains the original letter from the Board of Selectmen and a carbon dopy of the reply from the Board of Trustees. |
