This file contains only two documents. A) This paper consist of a report of the dispersion of the £50,000 loan from the Providence of Massachusetts to the several Towns of which Marblehead received £1,300. The loan trustees in turn loaned "it to individuals who could furnish good security 'at no less than six percent annual interest,'" See: "Standard History of Essex County, Massachusetts by Cyrus Mason Tracy, 1875, Pub. by C. F. Jewett & Co. 1875" B) This paper "A State of the Town of Marblehead from (unreadable) exclusive of the Sum remitted by the honorable the Generable Assembly. It covers several dates in the 18th century at the time of the Revolution, 1777 to 1781. and concludes with the value of the "36 Vessels" on Dec. 10 1780 Names are in People file. |
