This file is about the Overseers of the Poor 1817 It contains :
1) 20 invoices for Goods and Services 2) a list of 90 persons of houses that were delivered wood in 1817 3) Two letters written by seperate persons but signed by the the same 5 men complaining about dangers in the neighborhoods. 4) A letter about $200 sent by Mr. Abiel Story to his wife suggesting that she would not be able to handle it and should be assisted. (copy) 5) A list of payments to Portland for care of 21 persons from Marblehead over a 3 year's period. 6) A warning letter by the Overseers of the Poor to several persons who were holding "your house is a resort for persons of vile character".
