A fifteen page manuscript about the shoe industry in Marblehead by Richard Tutt, Jr. typed double spaced. Many of the pages have parts underlined and one section on page 3 is in a bracket with a question mark next to it. On page 5 the name Ebenezer Martin has the penciled word "uncle" written over it. On page nine in reference to the changing value of money the author refers to the current year as 1966. This is a good, well written history of shoe making in Marblehead and surrounding town starting from the earliest times to the mid 20th century. It is also a good source of names of the people involved.
