The booklet titled Marblehead Light by Bill Conly is the story of the Marblehead Lighthouse (Chandler Hovey Park). The Light Tower and the land it sits on are owned by the U.S. Coast Guard. Marblehead has a license with the U.S. Coast Guard effective from December 5th 2006 to September 30th, 2021. The Town has first refusal if the Coast Guard decides to declare the light surplus and sell. The Town would have to vote at Town Meeting to keep the Light. |
